He’d probably be the nicest necromancer you’d ever meet. but also likely the biggest dork. and he’d try to give you a cat. he has a lot of cats. ‘I have free kittens’ is probably one of his pick up lines.

crap thursday + the need to avoid starting my next two huge ass works for uni + also avoiding finishing a colourist audition…thing = pffff drawing original characters is too much brain work.

the two times I’ve tried to draw Mark Ruffalo he’s ended up looking like the wonky love child of RDJ and Anthony Bourdain.

a couple of floating heads sketches from today. which was unproductive on every level possible.

There’s a rare appearance from a couple of ghosts (Henry and The Matron). and a bird lady. and some evidence that I can’t draw real people ever. In the end I just gave up and made squishy faces. I’m not even admitting who started out as. ever. evereverever.

lines for a third image in the set I posted before. Not really happy with it. It sort of needs more to go with the others? Plus the cicada thing is kind uuuuh boring? really obvious? idk, I just don’t like using them that much, but didn’t have time to research anything different?

alternatively, a lighter version that fits in better with the rest of the work I’ve made.

as much as I love drawing in fluro pink pens, they really, really don’t scan well with the ancient beast I’m using (that struggles with b+w images as it is).

Also, I’m drawing (man) traps a lot at the moment. It’s very hard to discuss man traps in serious conversation.

your probably going to get spammed with a lot of this stuff this weekend while I work out some things for an exhibition. Pretty sure any variation of this is going to get rejected on the grounds of being ‘too illustrative’ and/or ’ too much like an illustration’ (two different things, but some people use the terms interchangeably).

I think my discovery of the powers of channels is going to be a bit like discovering layers all over again. Sosososo many things.

i realise that that is probably one of the most awkward poses that anyone could hope to causally strike, but shush. This is just my attempt to not go utterly mad from drawing what are essentially still life all day everyday.
